Welcome to my mIRC help page. After being asked and reading so much about how this mysterious thing called mIRC works, I decided to make this little tutorial for those who feel the urge to try it - it will show you the basic steps to enter one of the Shakira channels on EFnet. Before starting, I would like to emphasize that the settings and actions I talk here about are based on what I think is good and they are by no means and in no way obligate. You can try anything else but with the settings shown here, you might actually be successful. Nevertheless, don't make me responsible for anything which might happen to your computer and be aware of the fact that it is nobody else but YOU doing the following things to your PC.

So, currently, this tutorial is divided into two parts. The first part offers really extensive instructions for downloading the mIRC software and setting it up for using it for our purposes - if you haven't used mIRC by now or you need kind of refreshment of your basic knowledge, stick to the first part.
The second part requires being already in the channel and shows how to use the file servers in order to download files - if you are familiar with mIRC but have used it only for chatting for example or haven't downloaded anything from file servers so far out of whatever reasons, read the second part.
